Hatem Masri was born in Mahdia, Tunisia in 1974. He received his B.S. in Mathematics in Faculty of Sciences, University Tunis El Manar in 1994 and his M.S in operations research (with top honors) from the Tunis High Institute of Management in 1998. He then obtained his Ph.D. in Operations Research at the University of Tunis in April, 2004.
From 1996 to 1999 he spent three years at the GRAD Laboratory of the Tunis High Institute of Management. He then joined the University of Tunis in 1999, where he became Assistant Professor in 2004. In 2009, he moved to the College of Economics, Management and Information Sciences at the University of Nizwa. In 2012, he obtained the associate professor rank from both the University of Tunis and the University of Nizwa. I am now associate professor and director of Quality Assurance and Accreditation at the College of Business Administration in the University of Bahrain.
Dr. Masri’s research interests are in the area of multiple objective stochastic programming and their applications in finance, manufacturing and supply chain management. He has wide experience in solving practical large scale optimization problems in several international projects such as the search and rescue problem, the portfolio selection problem and supply chain management.
Dr. Masri is a member of the International Society on Multiple Criteria Decision Making (MCDM), the Tunisian Decision Aid Society (TDAS) and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
